OUTSIDE IN: An Unconventional World of Art Toys
OUTSIDE IN: Jason Freeny Asia XXRAY體驗店
From 28 November 2020 to 28 February 2021, Jason Freeny Asia XXRAY Experience Store at K11 Art Mall showcases over 100 sculptures and art toys featuring award winning Toys Designer Jason Freeny’s anatomical deconstructions of incredibly iconic characters. The most significate works include the world’s premiere XXRAY Astro Boy and XXRAY Gatchaman, both in 2M height, as well as the giant anatomized XXRAY Elmo (Snow Edition) and XXRAY Cookie Monster sculpture at the K11 Art Mall atrium. The chi K11 art space also features beloved life-sized versions of fan-favorite One Piece character Luffy, XXRAY STAYREAL Mousy Little, Dissected POPek from Freeny’s collaboration with London artist Whatshisnam, and, Dissected Mister HellYeah! in collaboration with MAMAFAKA. Here you can also discover the fascinating collection and retrospective of Freeny’s creations from his early works to rarely seen computer graphics and behind-the-scenes displays.
Jason Freeny 亞洲XXRAY藝術體驗店於2020年11月21日至 2021 年 2 月 28 日於香港K11 Art Mall開放，展示過百件知名紐約雕塑家及玩具設計大師 Jason Freeny 雕塑作品及 Art Toy。最吸睛的一定是全球首發2米高 XXRAY 小飛俠阿童木及XXRAY神勇飛鷹俠；以及位於 K11 購物藝術館中庭的巨型 XXRAY 冰雪 ELMO 及 XXRAY 芝麻街 Cookie Monster ，聯同 XXRAY 海賊王路飛、XXRAY STAYREAL「鼠小小」Mousy Little 、與倫敦藝術家 Whatshisname 聯乘的 Dissected POPek、以及聯乘 MAMAFAKA的 Dissected Mister HellYeah!一系列大型解剖雕塑，見證設計大師的創作歷程，感受他如何以破格創新視角「透視」熟悉的事物，發掘內在不一樣的層次。
